Default Brushless fans for paint booth

Has anybody used brushless fans for a paintbooth?

those are meant for cooling electronics. you would probably have to use quite a few of them to effectively filter your booth.

True, they are used for electronics in many applications... but they have no motor brush and therefore no brush spark.

I guess I am trying to engineer my way around the spark in the paint booth (.. potential explosion, aka fire safety code") thing. I have run across several readings on this subject and therefore assume it is something that I need to consider.

I looks like the folks on this forum have some great ideas. If a straight forward "industry standard" solution exists, please point me in that direction.

Thanks

you can use cheap fans that have a spark just make sure your filtering effectively filters the powder. use 2 or more types of filtering material, make it 2 or 3 stage. start coarse.

99% of the time the motor is not in the air stream. A tube-axial style fan with an aluminum prop is standard fare. You also need good filtration to keep things clean and efficient.
