Will clear PC prevent rusting on steel? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I have an axle, a-arms and ti-rods off of my ATV that are chromed steel. What I would like to know is, if I was to clear PC them will that prevent rust because they have some rust spots here and there. Let me know what you think.

if you remove the rust first then yes. must be a lousy chrome job or very old.

Yeah it's pretty old. If I was to polish it up real nice before PC and then clear coat it, would it dull the chrome and polish?

dulling will be minimal. test on a piece that's inconspicuous to see if it's acceptable to you.
