Default What is the CFM? for Powdercoating gun

What is the CFM requirement for the cheaper caswell PC gun? I have this gun that I got from them a while ago and recently my compressor blew up that I was using for PCing. The manufacture won't warranty it and now wants to know the rating because it blew up with only 1-2 uses. If anyone can answer this question please e-mail me at ldecaria@comcast.net I am trying to get them to cover this compressor but they won't do anything unless I provide this info to them. I just used a small airbrush gun to airbrush my piston side skirts and domes with the dry film lubercant and the coating for the domes of the pistons that I got from caswell last week and this is when the compressor took a dump. The compressor only kicked on 2 times while doing the pistons too which is why I think it's just a junk compressor because it wasn't like it was running constantly. I was only doing 4 small pistons too. I was kinda ****ed off over this.

Just to run the gun,, the cfm would be low I would guess about 3-5 cfm since you are using a low PSI ,, Now If you was useing a Sand Blasting it would be about 15-20 cfm YOu would have to look at the requirements on the gun find the Psi rating and tell them that,, I personally think the air compressor What kind of air compressor where you useing belt driven or oil less what brand also, where you did you buy it at

I am looking just for the cheaper gun that caswell sells as I got that gun a while ago from them before the new one cam out which stinks cause I could use the extra power as this one doesn't have it for larger items. But anyways I have a larger compressor for blasting purposes this small compressor is in my basement in my PC room down there so it was nice since it was small and portable. Anyways trying to find the exact ratings for it as I didn't see anything for it on their site and so far they haven't e-mailed me back when I sent a question about it. I just want my compressor replaced as I feel it was a junk compressor that they put together and it's bull that it blew up so fast with only a few cycles of running. I never had a compressor do that in my life and I have owned many of them from smaller to a larger 2 phase one that I use right now for working on cars. But running a line down to the basement will be a pain and I didn't want to do that so bought this little one in the mean time.

FYI - we've e-mailed you back twice about this. It must be getting blocked in your spam filter or something.

It's 5 CFM.

It was getting blocked for some reason. New spam filter for my business hosting website because of getting so much spam. I noticed it today as I get one e-mail from the spam people listing all the e-mails they blocked and it was in there today 2 times...

But thanks again appreciate the response.
