Default 1st Intake Manifold!!!

I am very happy with the way it came out! Columbia SS Chrome. Outgassed for 1 hr, PC'ed at 140 degrees and cured at 375 for 20 min. The intake had a pretty rough blast finish when it was delivered.

Just got the gloss clear today...DO I need to reheat the SS chrome PCed manifold before I shoot the clear coat? Any tips would be appreciated. Don't want to F it up.

Isn't that a Single Stage Chrome? If it is, why would he want to clear it also?

You know customers...they always want everything to look "perfect". He says the SS chrome is not glossy enough and wants a gloss clear shot on it. I just don't want to F it up and have some cloudy effect happen. I know not to put the clear on too thick...I did it yesterday over Black Chrome on a test panel and had disaster throw away junk results. Just wondering if I should reheat the mainfold to say maybe 140 and pull it out to shoot the clear

For what it's worth GatorHyde, I think it looks pretty sharp! After some looking around, I don't think that the chrome colors really get much more reflective than that, do they? Keep us posted about the clear! I'd give you my two cents, but I don't have that much in my pocket yet, just started up my powder coating.

Best of luck!
