Default Caswell Gun sprays out too much powder...

My caswell gun (standard) don't have a stickey trigger, but when you hit the trigger a BIG thick cloud comes out.......I have a pressure regulator and have tried from 1psi to 20 psi.......what setting do you use?? also is there anything else I can do to stop it? It is wasting alot of powder. That little adjustment knob seems to have no affect on it....what can I do?

fill the cup up maybe 1/2 way. if it's too full, you'll get clouds.

also, when you remove the cup and look at the little nub sticking up (fluidizer), it has a hole in it. air flows through that hole to stir up (fluidize) the powder. drill 2 or three more holes of the same size in the nub. this will improve fluidization and reduce the puffs of heavy powder.

aslo shake the powder before shooting to loosen it up.

Check your regulated pressure on your line, and the max input pressure on your powder gun regulator. If you exceed max allowable input pressure, the regulator will just blow by and not give you regulated pressure. Had that happen once, was a devil to figure out what was going on until I stumbled across it.

yeah, you'll learn what the gun likes and doesn't. just part of the overall learning process. after you use it a dozen times or so you should have a pretty good handle on it.
