you can go to auto zone and get some air craft stripper $8 spray it on and it will start to bubble then spray off with water it might take a couple of trys but it worked for me once and try it first it might work, or go to a crome shop and they have some good stuff it will be like $10 a rim that is what i do also hope this helps

Are you stripping paint or powder? Paint should come off easy. The stuff from Home Depot says "Jasco" on the black and orange can. I doubt if it's safe/non-toxic though.

Aircraft stripper in a spray can, or there's a stripper in most paint sections thats made by Kleen Strip, comes in a gold spray can. You could even try Permatex Gasket Remover in the spray can.

if i'm stripping paint i start with klean-strip "premium sprayable stripper" from home depot. you can get it by the gallon and just load it in a spray bottle.

if i need something heavy dutier, like for stripping powder coat, i use mar-hyde tal-strip II aircraft stripper. you can get it at advance auto. it works better than the klean-strip aircraft stripper i tried.
