yeah, one of ours separated and it was great for cleaning. i don't recall exactly what the fit looked like, but i think it was hexagonal. ...not sure which was male.

It would make more sense if the hex male was on the rear half to impede powder "blow by". But.........you never know when you get engineers involved. Most of them have only worked at a desk behind a CAD model and never been out in the "real world" where the application they designed is used.
