Question Little Compressor

Right now I have a very limited budget to restart my shop. I am planning a 12'x12' shop soon but no funding is available at this time. I am getting another free oven (we like those) and looking at a small 3 gallon 100psi compressor. I think I know the answer but will this push enough air to PC items. Wont be able to sandblast with it I know but will be working with new clean parts for now. will be getting a large 60-80 Gal one in the new building

if you're using a hobby gun then yes it will be able to handle your needs.

Pretty sure that you will kill you compressor fast if you try to blast with it if you are using anything more than a small hand held blaster.I have a 60 gal that when used on my blast cabinet will run often.

Does she go in the shop?Or you could tell her that some of the money you make with the new compressor can be used to do something she want like maybe a few renos. But be sure not to give a deadline on the reno,LOL.
Just remember that a bigger compressor is an investment that you dont want to do again,so it wold be better to spand a bit more now and not find out in 2 years that you need a bigger one for something else.I spent 1K on mine it is a 60Gal 5HP(running)240V single phaze, with no magnetic switch required,3 cylinder cast iron pump(145PSI max),but dont be fooled by HP numbers, colmen, porter cabel and some of the cheaper
one say 5hp but that is peak at no load.Hope this helps you on making you choice.
Later DEL

NO!!! I had a 130psi 21 gal 3 hp compressor and it would give me about 30 seconds of full power then run for 10 min trying to keep up. I would not use less than a 60 gal tank and a 240V powered motor. I would love to pick up a 125 gal Propane tank to use as a 2nd storage tank before i do blasting.

Yes I am using a hobby gun ATM untill I start doing this full time. Just trying to do small parts again to fund my shop building and future upgrades of tools
