Question Rocker Cover.

Ive got a rocker cover that has a riveted and siliconed baffle plate inside of it and I need to do powder on it. Am I looking at a problem? It is off of a nissan twin cam. Im sure someone has probably seen this before!?

Why do you need to powder the inside?

A Picture would help us understand what you are looking at.

I did not mean that I needed to powder the inside of the cover. I need to powder the outside(color and clear) but my concern is the silicone inside on the baffle plate. Is it going to turn into a black puddle of goo going through a couple of heat cycles? If it were mine, I would just take the chance. Thanks for your help and input. Jay

I just did a Honda valve cover that had the baffles inside with no problems. The only trouble I had was getting all of the oil out. Some people drill the baffles completely out in the Nssan valve cover. Not powder coaters, but car tuners.

I didnt mean to do that reply thing again. I tried to do a pic. It didnt work. Yes , I would think that you wouldnt need it but I dont think the guy is going to mess with it, he doesnt seem to sure about much at all. Im going to go ahead with it, I think it will be ok even if some goes bad. Thanks for the reply GCPJohn.

No problem. The silicone should be fine, I've done it a few times without a hitch.
