Check your ground. make sure it is on a clean place of the item or hook. It has to be good or the powder won't stick. Also hold the end of your gun toward the part and press the pedal, don't pull the trigger and see if you get a blue arch. If you do, then the powder should stick. If you decide not to get a EW Pro Gun, then do the mods to yours, it helps. Also, There's been a lot of complaining about the Pro gun, but also some good comments. I decided to wait a bit and see what goes with the complaints.

Try spraying a part while holding it in your hand if the powder sticks this way, then your ground is bad.

The ground is always connected in a good spot. It is a wimpy wire though, but I don't think I can make it better. I have checked for the arch and it's seems to be working normal.

I've also done a couple of the mods, but that only helped me get more powder out...not help stick it to the part.
Has anyone tried one of these yet?

"ACTUALLY CHARGES THE POWDER BETTER COMING OUT OF YOUR GUN AND CAUSES IT TO STICK BETTER

GIVES YOU MORE CONTROL OF YOUR SPRAY PATTERN GIVING YOU MORE PRECISE WORK

BECAUSE OF THE BETTER CHARGE AND THE MORE FLOW CONTROL IT GIVES! YOU CAN GET THE POWDER IN CORNERS AND CRACKS THAT YOU COULD NOT BEFORE AND IT GIVES YOU A BETTER UNIFORMITY OF THE COATING

THIS NOZZLE WILL GIVE YOU IMMEDIATE RESULTS FOR LITTLE COST!!!"

I'm a little reluctant to try it.

If I hold the part...wont I get the sh*t shocked out of me? I'm only saying that, because I've done it and it hurts bad

I've never got a shock that way.

How much air pressure are you using at the gun. I find that I have to turn the pressure up. You just need to turn it up while spraying and when you get to the sweet spot, stop there. Now spray like you mean it and see if that works for you.

when you said a dryer, i was thinking of a refrigirated dryer. what you have there looks more like a dessicant dryer or some other type of filter
then it should be mounted as far as possible from. the compressor

sorry for giving you the wrong info,
also if it is a dessicant unit the dessicant cartrige has to be replaced or dried

The canister is empty...maybe that's why it doesn't work? haha Where can I find dessicant replacements? And are they model specific?

So that's a no on anyone using or hearing of anyone using that spray tip thing??

Thanks, John

yes i think they are model specific unless it is a model that you just fill up with dessicant beads

I didn't even know the thing existed! Could work I suppose. I looked at it and kind of think the ring may be magnetic?? Like the tip idea though.

I have to heat my parts to get the powder to stick... I'm having the worst luck with this.
