Contemplating buying PC hobby equip

So I'm starting to look at restoring an old car and have pretty well decided the frame is going out for blast & PC. Seems right to do the smaller stuff at home. Most of the posts on the web seem to impy people are having great results with hobby equip and garage sale ovens.

1) Any downsides to this "cheap" approach
2) Is there any real difference between a HarborFreight 16K gun ($59) and the $95 caswell?
3) Is the 50K caswell worth an extra $120 - $160 for doing work such as callipers, control, trailing and "A" arms?
4) Since the 50K gun only goes down to 35K, what problems does this cause or stated another way, are the 18K guns really under powered?
5) Lots of talk of building ovens for bigger parts. Has anyone ever tried just modifying a double kitchen oven by taking out the frame between the two halves and using just one set of controls?

for what u r doing the cheap gun will work.the only problem u cannt adjust the cheaper guns.i used one for a year for a-arms,swingarms, small parts without a problem.how for the double oven. i have no clue,never try it build my oven.now that the business is growing i have a lot better gun.hope this helps

All, No need to continue this thread. I've found most of my questions are already posted on others. Looks like my concern about the 50KV gun has been debated by both sides with no clear answer (other than mod the gun) and that the HF/CASWELL gun debate also has no clear answer and is a matter of luck which one works better on an individual basis along with experience level.
