Powder over Chrome??? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

ive put translucents over Chrome and it was great, but what about regular powder? can i use a "primer" powder first or does the chrome have to be ruffed up?

What's regular powder?
If it's a solid color of some sort, why put it over chrome powder.

solid or metallic, and not over chrome powder but over CHROME plate.. guy wants his crome rimes part chrome and part blue metallic, but not to ruin the chrome so he can remove the powder later if he wants

You say rough the chrome some first, but I read other posts that say you can apply a clear over polished aluminum. Why does it work there but not chrome. I assume I'm missing something?

Polished al usually has a little "profile" to it even after polishing. Chrome is a plating process that is much "smoother" and has very little, if any, profile for the powder to grab.

I was wondering I have some chrome parts that are not in good shape I want to powder coat them with wet black I sand blasted and smooth the peeling areas how long do you think it would last on there
