Clear Coat - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

Would like some information concerning adding clear coat. I know most metallic colors and candy colors the clear coat has to be added. Is this process done after curing the color and what effect does it have on the color you are applying the clear coat to. Or do you apply your powder and the clear it at the same time Could use some imput . Thanks and God Bless!!!

you apply the clear after you cure the color
candy colors don't need clear
unless it's a dormant color , clear doesn't affect the color in any way.

it depends mostly on the chemistry of the powder. most clears wont' affect the color of the base.

Clear will dull chrome powder a bit.
