Question Aluminum trim

I want to clear coat the aluminum trim on my Impala after I get the anodizing off and have polished it. Will the heat required for curing negatively affect the trim in any way? Is there anything else I should be aware of.

If you're worried about anything, it should be warping from the heat. But, you should be ok.

Try pre-heating a test piece just to make sure.

You can coat over anodizing. If you would rather remove it and polish thats fine also, just be sure that before you coat that you clean really well to remove all the polishing compounds.

Warping is the kind of thing I was worried about. I have a couple pieces that need to be replaced, I play with those first. Thx.
