Default Coating Bolts???

I have a friend that wants me to coat the bolt heads on his rims. The rims are three piece, so they do come completely apart.

Coating the bolt heads isn't a problem, but I'm afraid they'll get ruined when he reassembles his rims, making it pointless to coat, wasting my time and his money.

Does anyone have any input on this?

Thanks, John

C'mon, someone has had to have coated some bolt heads for rims...I just wanna know if they're gonna get ruined when he torques them down.

Try using some tape (electrical ? ) on the inside of the wrench and be sure that you've fully cured the powder.

The tape idea isn't bad...I guess I'll have to use a bigger size wrench to compensate for the powder and tape thickness.

My buddy told me he was gonna polish the bolt heads first. Then I was to shoot a single coat of candy gold, to give it a gold plated look.

You know, I guess I'll just have to try one or two, for testing.

Thanks again guys!

John
