Question ? on using top coat colors

OK, just got my lolli blue and red, but not sure exactly how to use them. I've been reading but still confused. do I need to have some type of base coat color first and then apply the top coat? I'm PC polished aluminum T-6061.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Ben

The need for a base coat depends on what you're coating. Trans/Candy colors look best over chrome or a polished surface. Other surfaces such as steel, cast iron, blasted surfaces, etc..........a base coat of something along the lines of x-treme chrome or a silver are in order. You should be fine over that polished aluminum, just to sure to clean real well to remove all polishing compounds.

Thanks Harleydad, That's what I thought, but it's better to check.
