I have yet to have to use heat, but I am in FL and I do let it sit in the sun for a couple of min's.

UPDATE::

I purchased 5 gallons of the Powder by the pound powder coating stripper..

IT SUCKS!! and its messy..

I have some snowmobile parts that i had sitting in the stuff for over 24hrs and it would only come off if you scraped it and it was like gooey bubble gum..

Here is a picture of it..

I had gottin in touch with PBTP and they also told me to heat the stripper up to 110 degrees.. So i did,, I shoved the whole can in the oven at up to 120 degrees and it didnt help..

PBTP told me it must be a liquid paint... If thats true why does my old worn out Eastwood Desolver take it off completely overnight? The eastwood stuff wont take paint off at all, but eats PC for breakfast..

I also noticed that they raised the price of the 5 gallon pail to $170 right after i purchased my 5 gallons..

Hmmm sounds like something is not right. I have seen only positive feedback with this item. I can take a video of mine and post it? I don't use heat, but I do put it out in the sun for a little bit in Florida. Someone tested it on BBS wheels that have a crazy primer no other stripper we knew of would take it off, and the PBTP stuff worked.

I am not saying you are wrong, but something just sounds funky. Have you tried different parts that were coated yet>? Also PBTP will take care of you if there is an issue with their product they sold you. Call them and see what you can to test it to be sure its the stripper that is not working properly. Also the price is $159.99 now. Double check with them.

Also I would never recommend a product if I have not tried it personally and if it underperformed. Let's figure this out if we can.

Welterracer,
Try scoring the powder with a utility knife or somthing first as one would do in a salt spray test. It may allow the chemical to get under the coating easier thus work better. I'm with PCP, I've heard it works well.

I spoke with Matt from PBP.... he said it wasn't the same as the D-Zolve and need heat and a way to get under the powder to work.
He explained it would come off in sheets like conventional strippers and won't work at all if it gets down to 60F.
I would like to find a less expensive stripper that's as effective as the D-Zolve... doesn't look like that will happen.
We also tried some perma gasket gasket remover on some parts...it softened it a little and that was it.
YMMV

I ran into the same problem with a part I was stripping using the PBTP stripper. I contacted the customer only to find out that what I was removing was a solvent based liquid coating. For powder coating I am sticking with the PBTP product but when I have a solvent based liquid coating I guess i have to burn it off.

I remember you posting that before. Does it dissolve the powder or does it bubble up and come off in sheets?
