thanks for the input to everyone. I logged the car in the past (with the stock turbo) and recorded EGT's up to above 800F. I think I'll go high temp just to be on the safe side.

EGT is on the inside. Correct?

If the turbo can heat up that valve cover to 450 plus then you might have an issue.

I doubt it though. (I could be wrong)

Yes, EGT is on the inside. That one in your pic is pretty close to the exhaust mani!
