Default Spray booth exhaust question

I know, another one. I was thinking...instead of trying things that almost work when it comes to exhausting or filtering a home made powder coat spray booth, how about using a cyclone? I mean a cyclone connected to a shop vac and thereby allowing the use of a much coarser filter thereby increasing the air flow. It seems logical. And all the powder ends up in the bucket attached below the cyclone eliminating the constant wet/dry filter cleaning.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Grumple

p.s. I want to build my pc spray booth soon.

I've seen the Cyclone and think it is very cool. I plan on getting one myself. So I think it is a good idea. I currently vent to the outside. But winter is coming and I don't want to loose all that expensive heat.

Thanks for the response. The cyclone can also be used with a sand blaster so its useful in a few ways. I may have to buy 2 of them.

I would buy two if you are going to use one for Sandblasting. Be a biatch to clean after blasting if you are at all considering reclaiming powder from the cyclone.
