Default UV stabilization?

I have a customer who wants a textured powder, and I've noticed a lot of the textures are listed as not UV stable. Can they be made UV stable with a UV stable clear?

I guess worst case, he could slather his bike in spf 65 before riding.

I've heard some say to do that. In Tiger Drylac's brochures and data sheets it says putting a clear over an interior or non-uv stable powder does not make it uv stable.

Figure LLC,

Applying a UV stable clearcoat over a non UV stable finish is a bad idea. Eventually the UV energy penetrates the clearcoat and causes the initial coat to chalk. The chalking then causes wholesale delamination of the clearcoat.

UV stable textured powders are widely available from most powder manufacturers.

Thanks for the replies! I wanted to ask bc I can foresee a customer insisting on a non-UV color, and I wouldn't have had a good answer.
