    New Name & Logo

I don't feel like "Figure Finishing" is descriptive of what we do, nor attractive to potential customers, so I've been thinking of a new name and logo. What do you guys think of this? (The light gray around the letters would be chrome.) Comments and criticisms encouraged!

okay ,i will be the first one . don t take this too personal it is only my opinion .
i think you are off track with this , too many things to distract from your busiiness , the name powdered sugar relates more to someone making cakes than to a powdercoating bizz , what does a skeleton hand have to do with your bizz, and most people don t know what that gun is anyway , i would also go with a font type easier to read .
sorry about this . but your business card will be the first impression that a customer gets from your business so i think it must stay on target and it should do only one thing wich is to say what you do and that you are serious about it

Yeah I agree with the above, the font is too distracting and difficult to read.

Go for something more bold and clear.

I would have to agree with the above..

Its a good start but maybe a little to crazy..

I too have been trying to come up with something good that we could put on a shirt.. but havent seen anything yet..

How do you describe powder coating in a picture Tough to do....

Most people have no idea what a powder coating gun looks like or how it works..

I'll make it unanimous. The "ray gun" and skeleton arm sends my mind in all different directions. None of which relate to powder coating. At least that's what someone that doesn't understand PC might think. I can sense a thought that you may be targeting a group but that's best left out of a logo. And... I'm not quite sure what to make of the powdered sugar title. It sure doesn't go with bones.

With a part or parts that you've coated. There's a few places that use 3 or 4 little piles of different color powders.

eh, at least i feel better knowing i'm not the only one struggling with the thought. i was trying to design the logo so i could make it with vinyl. i guess it's hard to do that and not look cartoonish.

Check out the Caswell "Platinum" logo next to your name. I think it's pretty slick. I don't know what "Figure Engineering" does but working Powder Coat under the chrome letters looks pretty good.

    Just a thought.
