I use the 3M mask that has the little flap on the front with the little grill. I do have a regular mask I use for painting, but only use that sometimes. But what you use, I would suppose, depends on what type of booth you have and if it contains the powder pretty well and evacuates it pretty good. When I first started, I would notice, when using a metallic powder, that I would have sparkle on my shirt and on my face. That's when I decided to start wearing a mask and rebuild my booth. But my booth gets the powder away from me pretty well. So, if your getting powder on you and around your shop, then do wear a mask of some sort.
