three coats, without even connecting the ground wire, and barely over half power...this thing actually exceeded my expectations and so did the service on the phone when i had questions

Very Cool, I've also been tempted to play with the grinder one of these days.

Thanks for the help guys. Now I have no choice but to purchase a new gun as the barrel tube on the EW gun broke in half. As thick as that is, I have no idea how it broke in half like that, unless my roommate's kid was playing with it and dropped it on the cement floor. Not sure EW will still exchange it now. I was going to exchange it due to the leak below the barrel tube and cup threads, but now it just looks like the gun as been abused. If they do I'll use it as a back up. I'm going with the Pony gun. I can't wait to try it out. Any here made their own fluidizing hopper for this gun?

If you are talking about the Columbia style hopper then yes a lot of people have made them and they are very simple and cheap to build. If you are wanting a true fluidizing bed hopper then you will have to get creative to adapt it to the Pony gun. You will need a regulated air supply for the fluidizing bed and a secondary air supply for the powder pump. It can be done, I built a fluidizing bed hopper for my pony gun and it works great but it took many long nights of R&D to get it to work on the Pony gun. Pictures and videos of it can be found on the Columbia Coatings forum. If you want a gun with a real fluidizing hopper I would suggest the PBTP king gun other wise just stick with the remote cup style Columbia hoppers as they do work great for the price.

Yeah the King Coat gun is a little out of budget right now as much as I'd love to have that sucker. I found a pro gun on ebay right now, but it's just the gun, hoses, ect, no hopper or control box for $299. I'm gonna check out the CC forum for info on the fluidizing hopper. Thanks for the info.
