Gato Index Tabs and Holes in Hull - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

In disk 4 for the Gato the hull is shown with "drainage" holes in a pattern but there is no information given on how the holes came to be or the techique and pattern used to crate them. Also my guess is that the holes shoulod be drilled prior to the welding of the idex tabs?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the link -- I do know that you supplied formers to shape the ovals (sandpaper bonded to the shapers. How are the holes started? -- Drill two side by sife holes and then sand with the former?

Drill small holes, then ease them out using a diamond burr on a Dremel. Finish them off with the shaped bars with sandpaper glued on.
