Need Chrome Plating done in NW Florida
I have a 94 HD Sportster, and I would like to rechrome the engine sidecases and rocker assemblies. My dad give me this bike recently. He had the engine sidecovers (primary, cam & sprocket covers & rocker covers) chrome plated back in 94. These pieces now look pretty bad. There seems to be some greenish corrosion coming through, and the plating looks thin and peeling in a spot or two. Can these pieces be salvaged? These parts are aluminum with chrome plating. I thought about just removing the chrome plating and polishing the aluminum, but I prefer a good show quality chrome plating if at all possible and cost involved is resonable. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Michael.
