steel canteen plating suggestions

Hi,
I am going to bead blast an old steel canteen (German) and would like to coat or plate it inside and out with something that is safe so I can drink out of it.

Any suggestions

The problem is that the inside will be difficult if not impossible to plate. I think you would be better off using something like a plastic or epoxy to coat the inside and just plate the outside.

Tin plating would be suitable for your application, but fxstcguy98 is right about the inside.
Maybe filling it with the tin solution and holding a long thin Tin anode inside the canteen would get it, but there is no real way to inspect the plating or ensure absolute cleanliness prior to plating.
