  • powder dyes vs concentrate liquid dyes

I have noticed it is possible to get dyes as either powder (form clariant) or concentrated liquid (from caswell). I have found the powder dyes are considerably cheaper but usually more difficult to come by in smaller quantities. Does anyone have any experience of differences in quality between the two - presumably caswell has a reason for selling liquid dyes?

We buy dyes in powder form, and mix them with distilled water to make them into a liquid. That way we can accurately measure out enough powder to make up a 2 gal tank.

We use US Color systems, which perfectly match anything Clariant produce.

If you are looking for large quantities, just ask.

We have Golden Orange. It's on the web page already.
