  • I'm wanting some widgets to practice with...

Yes, I am running out of things around the house to anodize and I want to find some widget that is inexpensive, somewhat small, (<1 ft^2 surface area, please), and somewhat useful.

Why am I wanting these? I want to do some experimenting with finishes... surface finishes, fades, chemical pre-treats, etc., and I don't really want to keep anodizing just plain round or square barstock. I'd like to be able to display/give away/sell the pieces I anodize if I make a lot of them. It seems like such a waste to cut up perfectly good aluminum for testing purposes.

Ideally, I'd like to pay less than $1.00 each for these widgets, and be able to buy them 50-100 at a time. Does anyone know where to find something good like this to play with?
