Quick question on "old" ano method......

    I know this is an old sticky, but using specific gravity for measure sulfuric concentrations is only accurate when you are making a fresh bath and you know exactly what is in the bath. Once the bath is made and has been running, I can put any number of different things in the bath that effect the S.G. (milk, alcohol, sugar, etc). None of these will change the total titratable acid however. Titration is the only way to accurately measure how much acid is in the bath period.
    Process control doesn't give you good quality, it gives you consistent quality.
