  • Surface after anodizing process

    Hi,

Anyone can tell me how the surface of the aluminum look like after the anodizing process (before the dye process)? Are they matte?

    THanks,

    Andy

The anodized appearance will depend on what it looked like before anodizing, and the type of anodizing process used. If it was matt before, it will be matt after anodizing. If it was polished before, it should look shiny when anodized. Regular decorative anodizing reduces the gloss some, but doesn't dull it much. It will change the color somewhat. LCD tends to change it less than anodizing at higher current densities, which will tend to leave a yellowish tint. The thicker the anodizing, the more the color tends to change.
