I want to selectively strip anodise using photoresist etc.

most photoresists are soluble in caustic

To my knowledge to remove anodize you have to go to one end of the ph scale or the other. Acid, base, or physical removal are the only options for removal. If you are wanting to mark an insigia you can anodize, dye, apply mask and use bleach to remove the color not covered by the mask. Without knowing what your trying to do its hard to give options. I am not familiar with photoresist. SS

Photresists are resists that are developed with UV light. When they are developed it leaves protected regions and exposed regions/

I experimented with Phosophoric acid to remove anodize which works well and does not upset the photoresist. However it does not leave the aluminium surface clean. I guess I need a desmut agent.
This is a homebrew affair - are there any desmut products out there readily available that would do the job
