  • battery acid mixture

I have a CASWELL LCD system that I'm setting up. The CASWELL manuel says to mix the battery acid at a 3 part distilled water to 1 part acid, I have read elswhere that you should use a 1 to 1 mixture, which is the proper mixture to use? I have a used Astron VS-35m power source that I plan to use on my 5-gal set-up.

    Re: battery acid mixture
A 1:3 ratio (battery electrolyte : distilled water) is the correct ratio for LCD anodizing. It will work for CD's up to 12A per square foot. A 1:2 or 1:1 ratio is for higher amperage anodizing or used in the past by many using the let it rip method. Using them below a 12A CD will cause dissolution problems among others.
