You should always dye as quickly as possible after anodizing, as the pores start to close (and dye won't be as easily accepted) after the anodizing process ends.
Have all your colors pre-mixed and equipment ready before you start.
If you make a mistake, you can always strip the anodize layer and re-apply.

i'd like to know how to go about airbrushing anodize dyes. i want to make a sign for my business and do some custom work on it. do you need to put multiple coats on seeing that the piece wont be dipped in the dye?Tags: None
