  • MUST Un-zinc part (Copy-Cad)

    This is probably for Mike...
Is it posible to remove excess zinc from a part by reversing polarity? My timer broke down and the part plated for 49! hours instead of intended 24 minutes. Needless to say that I will be buying a set of anodes from you, but also need to know the best way to remove the wildly thick layer of zinc. Thanks.
    Andrew.
I have it sitting in reverse mode right now, small piece of anode had picked up some zinc already. I will let you know what will happen next.

Muriatic acid will dissolve the zinc right off. 49 hours, that's got to be a record

Thanks, what is the mixing ratio for the acid? BTW, 90% of zinc settled back on anodes after about 20 hours in reverse.
