    Re: plating long pieces

Not an easy job for a beginner. The long pieces are not a problem, it's getting a plate over plastic that can be tricky.

We recommend you have a moderate level of experience in plating metal on metal before attempting to plate non-conductors.

The anodizing is fairly simple though. You'd just need to cut the anodes and wire them in such as fashion as to provide even current along the entire length of the part.

    plating long pieces

I,m interested in plating long "38 inch" pieces of plastic dash trim with chrome and anodizing long trim pieces for exterior of auto. Can I make a tank out of plastic rain gutter? What process do I need to use?
