    I will be plating some nuts. Question is: the inside of the nuts will be in the shadow and I believe the threads will not plate. If this is correct then I don't have to figure the inside for surface area. Please let me know if I am right. Thank's in advance, Lloyd

    They won't plate as heavily as the other areas, but they will plate and need to be part of your area calculations. To avoid this, you can mask off the inside threads, then you would NOT include them in the area.
