    Hey guys
I'm thinking of purchsing the 2 gallon triple chrome kit for some small parts on my motorcycle. I have seen some cars around that look like they have chrome in their paint jobs (like they've had a section chromed and painted around it). Is this possible?

Also, is it possible to chrome plate plastics (the cowlings on my motorbike)? I thought about coating the areas with conductive copper paint first and then chroming?

    Thanks

    Re: plating plastics

The chrome/paint mixture is probably chrome vinyl or a chromed add-on.

As for the plastics, that should work, but I'm not the expert(hint hint--caswell)

Yeah, the chromed areas are probably not actually a chrome plate - could even be powder coated??

Yes, it's possible to chrome plastic, although not recommended for a beginner. See http://www.caswellplating.com/csp24.htm
