    is it possible

sure copper plate it with flash copper, then bright nickel, then gold

you can plate gold to copper but i highly doubt you will be happy with the color and you have to use copper on it before anything else.

You'll need to dip in Pickle #4 before plating with Flash Copper.

As a neophyte (newbie) to electroplating, your collective wealth of knowledge always saves me from wasting a lot of trial-and-error time.

        Thanks again!

        Sincerely, Capitolkey

FYI: I have seen some brass artistic items that are silver plated then gold plated. They did not use nickel. I don't know why, though.

sounds to me like they might of originally been silver plated as a finish and then someone decided they wanted a gold finish.
