  • bright acid copper plating - excess copper on anodes

    Hi there,

I have just started using the bright acid copper plating kit from Caswell.

I’ve noticed that when I take the anodes out at the end of a plating session, there is a lot of dissolved copper that runs off them - some gets into the solution before I rinse it off under the tap. I’m concerned that this shouldn’t be happening as surely having excess copper floating around in the solution isn’t good?

Any advice much appreciated - thank you!

Are you using anode bandages during plating ?
