  • tank bars corroding

    Hi there,

I have the bright acid copper plating kit from caswell. I got my brass tank bars plated in nickel as per suggestion in the manual to reduce corrosion. They are still corroding a lot - as they are fixed into the tank (as per my university’s safety requirements) they are very hard to clean without contaminating the solution. Is it possible to use stainless steel bars to avoid the corrosion issue?

    Many thanks,

    Micha

The Bars should be removed when the system is not in use.

Thanks Jason, but as the bars need to be fixed in place due to the requirements of my university studio would it be possible to use stainless steel or will this effect the conductivity?
