  • Filtering copycad solution

My heater died and kinda dumped a lot of crud in to my plating solution and of course it's not plating well anymore. What is the best way to maybe clean/filter the solution.
    Thank you

Greetings Howardmonsie, Too bad about the heater failure. When mine failed I also received a shock even though it was plugged into a GFI circuit. At least any depression cleared up.
On a more serious note: I filter my solution with a paper coffee filter. The flat bottom filter fits in the bottom of a cottege cheese container that has 3/8 inch holes drilled in the bottom. I filter my solution after every day of plating.
    Be safe and have fun.

Can I ask you what type of heater you like to use? I'm getting ready to buy heater #3

Greetings, I am on heater #2. It is titanium and I purchased it from Caswell about 6 years ago. Heaters are a problem and I have no suggestions. Let us know what you decide. Thank you. KRR
