Zinc and Cad finishes

I need to plate a significant number of parts, both zinc and Cad finish. I guess I’m wondering what’s the best way to manage the plating bath for each of these types of finish. I saw notes from Caswell that the zinc brightened batch will return to Cad after use but wondered if there’s some more effective way of maintaining proper mixtures. Separate baths?

Also, is it possible to add additional layers of zinc plate to a freshly plated part by returning it to the bath without additional preparation?
