I am going to start electroplating really soon, but I have some questions about the waste if there is any involved? how much will there be and how much do you have to spend to dispose of the waste ?

Virtually none until you are ready to dispose of the kit, then take it to your municipal dump, the same place you dispose of old batteries, propane tanks, paint and other hazardous materials.

i use distilled water rinse tanks for my copper and nickel anodes then i use this to top off my tanks ---so no waste water problems at all. you can also use spray bottles with distilled water and risne everything off over each tank and still have no waste water either way.
