  • copper to chrome question

    If I have plated a piece in copper and then chrome it will it look chrome (silver/bluish finish) or look like really shiny copper?

    i doubt chrome will grab on. well i have heard it only sticks to nickel. i'm new to this and trying to find out wat kit to buy for myself. what kit do u have?

      Chrome will adhere to copper, but for the best colored finish, and for best corrosion resistance, chrome should be plated over nickel.

      To ensure a shiny finish, the pre-plated finish needs to be shiny. Get the part looking like it has been chrome plated before you chrome plate it.
