If I have plated a piece in copper and then chrome it will it look chrome (silver/bluish finish) or look like really shiny copper?

Chrome will adhere to copper, but for the best colored finish, and for best corrosion resistance, chrome should be plated over nickel.
To ensure a shiny finish, the pre-plated finish needs to be shiny. Get the part looking like it has been chrome plated before you chrome plate it.--
