Titanium/Black Chrome Kit

I'm needing some info on using the black chrome kit with titanium. Is it possible first off, and secondly, would i have to prep the titanium with other types of plating first or will it be just a matter of using something like an iron phosphate and or a zinc type of solution like a few other metals?
Now to really take a stab in the dark...lol....how could i achieve a "black pearl" type of finish just like this picture of a golf putter?
