Hi.
I've been running my copy cad setup for awhile and noticed that the quality of the recent plates began to diminish. I traced the problem back to a few parts that could have introduced acids to the solution, poorly washed and oils etc. Figuring that acid could be neutralized I've added 2 teaspoons of baking soda to the 5 gallon tank. This seemed to fix the problem.
Question: was this a right thing to do or am I smoking something? I repeat; zinc plate now is almost as good as when the solution was new.
