  • Plating thread tolerances on nuts and bolts

Hi. Finally up and plating, but I have a question. I've got a box full of motorcycle parts to chrome plate, but I need to keep the threads at the same size (no build-up). Mostly nuts and bolts, but also threaded caps on the ends of fork lowers. Retapping them is not an option for me, so is there a way to mask them, or what do you guys do to address this situation? Thanks.

    Yes,
Their is a liquid mask which can be applied, then with acteone removed.
    Look up platers masking products.
