  • Need help bad

This is my first time plating anything. im doing a bunch of R/C Car parts small aluminum ones. i got the zinicate stuff and a copy chrome kit.

but now i didnt notice i needed a current of some sort. how much do thse cost? can i find a cheap used one on ebay? just wanted to do some smaller parts.

and what kind of heater do i use for the zinicate solution?

and also if i plate something can i just leave it in the bucket for a few weeks if i wana do something else later on ? or is it all garbage. (would like to know about the zinicate also).

    Re: Need help bad

    Hello:

In the future, for technical support, please use our PRS system at http://www.caswellplating.com/support.htm.

All these questions have answers that are in the plating manual.

If you read the section on power supplies, you will see that you can use an old car battery or motorcycle battery as a power source. You don't need a rectifier.

You can use the heater that came with your kit for the zincate.

You can leave the solutions in the buckets for as long as you like. Just remove the anodes prior to storing.

Anodes are the metal plates that sit on the side of the tank, in the solution.

You really need to sit down and read the manual...you'll find that the answers to all your questions are in there.
