  • Question on heat transfer on final part.

    Hello, I am plating an intake manifold that sees temp of up to 250 deg. for a cust. He wanted to know if the plating would hold the heat into the part and cause higher temps. It is an aluminum manifold which will be copper, zinc,chromium plated. I don't think it will matter one bit, but he is worried. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Bump, Anyone have any ideas on this. I tried the search function but cound not come up with anything.

      here is a piece i just baked for 1/2 hour at 500 degrees .

        i dont think the thin plating with hold in more heat to create more heat
