  • Differet copper plating questions, plus copy chrome/ nickel?

Can anyone explain why I would buy the flash copper plating tank instead of the regular copper plating system. I am going to use it to build up cast aluminum pieces. The regular copper plating system says that is what it is used for, but the flash copper doesn't say anything about building it up for repairing. But it really doesn't say much at all about what it is used for compared to the regular copper kit. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, can I use copy chrome instead of nickel for the second plate in the triple chrome setup. Copy chrome is nickel with some cobalt added I believe, so I thought it might be alright to use. It would save me some money.

    thanks,
    Kenny

in general the flash copper is an alkaline solution used to strike coat steel , and other base metals that would be attacked by the acid based copper..
